Jacquie Roland has come a long way, from injured and recovering in a nursing home, to proud owner of a beautifully remodeled home in the village of Saugerties in the Hudson Valley, New York. For now, she can create her art all over her 3-story home. She plans ahead, however, designing the middle floor as an eventual home in itself when she is unable to navigate the stairs, and the bottom floor ready for a live-in nurse or other helper. At present, she admits to spending most of her time in the delightful sunroom shown below.
